Peace of Mind

Final expense insurance for peace of mind.

A smaller whole life policy designed to cover funeral costs, medical bills and final expenses, so your family isn’t left with the bill.

The Basics

Don’t leave the bill to your family.

Final expense insurance (sometimes called burial insurance) is a whole life policy with a smaller face amount, typically chosen to cover a funeral, burial or cremation, and any remaining bills.

Most policies use simplified underwriting: a few health questions and no medical exam. Premiums stay level and coverage lasts for life.

How it works

  • Smaller face amounts sized to final costs
  • Health questions instead of a medical exam on most plans
  • Level premiums that never increase
  • Coverage that lasts for life
  • Graded or guaranteed-issue options for some health conditions (benefits may be limited in early years)

Questions

Final Expense Insurance FAQ.

Serving Alpharetta and North Atlanta from 126 N Main St, Suite B200.

How much final expense coverage do I need?

Many families choose enough to cover the funeral or cremation, plus a cushion for medical bills and other costs. We’ll help you estimate a number that fits your wishes and budget.

Can I qualify with health problems?

Often, yes. Different carriers view conditions differently, which is a big advantage of using an independent broker. Guaranteed-issue plans exist but usually have a waiting period for full benefits.

Will my premium go up as I age?

Not on a level-premium whole life final expense policy. The premium is set when you buy it.

How fast is the benefit paid?

Claims are typically paid after the carrier receives a certified death certificate and claim form, often within weeks.
